Our Story
Why Volta exists.
Most financial lives are managed in fragments: an investment portfolio in one place, an insurance policy in another, a tax return filed each spring, and an estate plan drafted years ago. Each piece may be sound on its own, but the gaps between them are where value leaks: tax friction, misaligned risk, and uncoordinated retirement income.
Volta was founded to close those gaps. Every client relationship is built on one comprehensive plan, so each decision is made with the full picture in view and revisited as life changes.
Our Name
Why Volta.
The Volta River in West Africa takes its name from the Portuguese volta, a turn, for its winding course. The word traces back to the Latin volvere, to turn. In Italian, volta means a turn, a moment in time, and a vault.
Wealth behaves like the river. It rarely moves in a straight line. It turns with markets, with tax law, and with the milestones of a life. Our work is to navigate each turn and to build the structure, the vault, that holds what you have accumulated across time.

- DataClient planning records are stored in Canada.
- OversightWhen Volta opens to clients, investment advice will be provided through a registered dealer and insurance through licensed carriers, each subject to its own compliance review.
- Professional conductFinancial planning is provided under the Code of Conduct of the Chartered Institute of Financial Planning, which grants the Chartered Financial Planner® designation.
